Charles Platkin is a real estate developer, a licensed New York State attorney, and a real estate broker who resides in New York City, Miami, and Westhampton, New York. He has been active in the real estate industry for nearly 40 years, starting his investment ventures while attending Cornell University. Over the course of his career, Platkin has purchased, renovated, and developed more than 25 properties in New York, Westhampton, Gainesville (Virginia), Miami, the Wynwood neighborhood, and Ithaca.

Platkin is the founder of Magoo Properties, a real estate development and management firm specializing in residential real estate. Among his notable projects is a six-unit building in New York City, which generated more than $25 million in value. In that project, Platkin oversaw all legal matters, directed construction, and negotiated the sales of the units. He currently manages 10 properties across these regions.

Platkin graduated from Cornell University, earned his law degree from Fordham University, and received both his master’s and PhD from Florida International University.
